Focus and Recent Restructuring
In order for the journal to be responsive to developing scholarship-sharing practices as well as serve its mission and the readership, the following is the reorganised structure of SARE.
Each year, there will be two volumes published with high-quality scholarly work. The first volume will be dedicated to general submissions inclusive of book reviews. General submissions should be submitted at the beginning of the year (January–March). The second volume will be thematically driven in the form of a special issue (SI). A call for the SI will be sent each April, indicating a specific theme for submissions (April–May).
We aim to take advantage of affordable and eco-friendly digital platforms and thus publish the articles online. Each author, however, will also receive a hard copy of the issue to which they have contributed. In addition, all SACHES’ active members will receive a hard copy of the latest SI volume during the annual conference.
Manuscripts can be submitted for consideration to sare@saches.co.za
All submissions must be accompanied by a letter from a professional proofreader.
