Interdisciplinary Seminar in Dakar, December, 15-19, 2008:
"Interdependency, Interculture and Interdisciplinarity: Stressing the Want of a Critical Approach to Comparative Education in Africa".
AIMS:
This seminar is minded to the creation of AFRICE, Africa For Research In Comparative Education Society, and it’s conceived as the first step towards this aim, envisaged for 2010.

STRUCTURE
(in brackets the Scholars who have been invited to submit an electronic paper to be discussed in the seat of the Seminar, in Dakar)
The structure of the seminar is of interdisciplinary nature, that means that a number of disciplines is directly involved in the structure of the seminar.
The following order displays such a structure:
Monday 15 December 2008: Education
Tuesday 16 December 2008: Law, Economics
Wednesday 17 December 2008: Anthropology, History
Thursday 18 December 2008: Linguistics
Friday 19 December 2008: Synthesis and recommendations.
THE CONTINUITY OF THE INITIATIVE:
The other three steps envisaged from Dakar, December 2008 until 2010 are: 2009, a seminar in Addis Ababa, under the protection of the African Union; November 2009, a workshop in Rabat at the occasion of the IV MESCE Congress, along with the World Council of Comparative Education Societies; and 2010 the official creation, in Dakar, of the AFRICE Society.
